PDP IN NIGER CONFIRMS NAMI AS GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE FOR 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Niger State has affirmed the nomination of the former Chairman of the defunct Federal Inland Revenue Service, Mohammed Mamman Nami, as its governorship candidate for the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

This follows a resolution reached at the end of the party’s executive committee meeting with local government party chairmen, held for the supplementary affirmation of candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Nami, a former Niger South Senatorial aspirant who previously contested under the All Progressives Congress (APC), is expected to lead the PDP’s campaign in its bid to challenge the incumbent administration in the 2027 governorship election.
