IBBUL MOURNS 400-LEVEL STUDENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, has expressed deep sadness over the death of Ismail Ishaq Magaji, a 400-level student of the Department of Public Administration.

Magaji was reportedly hit by a stray bullet during a land dispute in his hometown, Wawa-Bargu Local Government Area of Niger State.

In a message from the Vice Chancellor, Signed by Deputy Registrar Information Alhaji Baba Akote, Professor Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, on behalf of the entire University Management, staff and student extends its heartfelt sympathy to the deceased’s family, friends, classmates and associates.

Professor Sulaiman described the incident as deeply distressing and a painful loss to the University community, noting that the death of a young student at such a critical stage of his academic journey was particularly saddening.

He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and give his family and loved ones the courage and strength to come to terms with the loss.

The Vice-Chancellor also appealed to the people and communities involved in the dispute to embrace dialogue, restraint and peaceful coexistence, urging them to avoid actions that could lead to further loss of lives.

Professor Sulaiman called on all concerned to make peace a priority and work towards preventing further bloodshed in the community.
