GOVERNOR BAGO RECEIVES MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE ON CONDOLENCE VISIT OVER DEATH OF ARTISANAL MINERS

The Minister of State for Agriculture, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi has paid condolence visit to farmer governor Mohammed Umaru Bago over the loss of 37 artisanal miners in the State.

Aliyu Sabi commiserated with the governor, the families of those who died and the Niger State as a whole describing the incident as unfortunate and saddening.

He reassured the governor of his support at this trying time facing the State and hoped that such ugly incident never repeats itself.

Similarly, the former Minister of State for Mines and steel development, Abubakar Bawa Bwari also paid a similar visit to the farmer governor to commiserate with him.

Bawa Bwari who described the event as painful, prayed that Allah forgives the souls of all those that died and comfort the families they left behind.

He commended the farmer governor for measures taken so far to unravel the circumstances that led to their deaths and measures to forestall future recurrence.

In his response, the farmer governor appreciated them for the visit and for their love and concern to the State at this trying time.

Farmer Umaru Bago appreciated all those who have poured in their heartfelt condolences and reassured Nigerlites of his administration’s resolve to get to the bottom of the matter.
