The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State, has suspended Mohammed Gimba Dabban, a Protocol Officer at the Government House, Minna, for six months.
The suspension was contained in a statement jointly signed by the APC Chairman, Lavun Local Government, Hon. Idrisu Saba Mohammed, and the Secretary, Aliyu Ishaku.
According to the statement, the decision followed an incident during the Dabban Ward general meeting, where Mohammed Gimba Dabban was allegedly captured on video engaging in actions considered contrary to the provisions of the APC Constitution.
The party said the conduct contravened Article 21, Section 2 of the APC Constitution, particularly provisions relating to anti-party activities and conduct capable of embarrassing the party or bringing it into contempt, ridicule or disrepute.
The statement added that the suspension is effective from September 18, 2026, and will last for a period of six months.
The party urged members to abide by its constitution and maintain discipline in all party activities.
