2027: Suleiman Musa Kuchita Declares Bid to run for Lavun constituency at the state Assembly

Hon. Suleiman Musa Kuchita has formally declared his interest to contest for member representing lavun at the state House of Assembly under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The declaration was made on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Gaba Ward in Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State, where party members, community leaders, women and youth groups, as well as supporters, gathered to show solidarity with the aspirant.

Speaking at the event, Mallam Kudu Gana Dan Masani Nupe described Kuchita as a young man who enjoys the trust and respect of members of the community, urging the people to support his aspiration to serve.

Similarly, the PDP Chairman of Doko Ward, Lavun Local Government Area, Tsuye Mohammed Sakiwa, popularly known as Yahaya, said he came to know Kuchita through his elder brother and expressed confidence in his ability to follow the positive example of his family and contribute to the development of the people.

A former councillor and chairman of Doko, Hon. Alhaji Mohammed Kpachitagi, who represented Hon. Jacob Gana of Doko at the event, also described Kuchita as an ambitious and principled young man with the potential to make a positive impact on the community.

Also speaking, the PDP Chairman of Busu Ward, Mohammed Idrisu Tsadu, expressed support for the aspiration, saying Kuchita possesses qualities that could enable him to contribute meaningfully to the development of the local government.

The PDP Chairman of Gaba Ward, Alhaji Mohammed Tsuwà Kuchita, said he knows the aspirant and respects his character, expressing optimism that he could bring positive change if given the opportunity to serve.

The PDP Women Leader of Doko Ward, Anima Usman Doko, also expressed support for the aspiration, noting her positive knowledge of Kuchita’s elder brother, ACP Kudi. She encouraged women in the community to actively participate in politics and make their voices heard.

In his remarks, Mohammed Alikali, popularly known as Agba from Bokangi, urged party members and supporters to support Kuchita while calling for unity and greater commitment towards strengthening the PDP at the grassroots.

Responding, Hon. Suleiman Musa Kuchita thanked party members, community leaders, youths, women and other supporters for attending the declaration and expressing confidence in his aspiration.

He reaffirmed his determination to serve the people at the local government level, while acknowledging the traditional and community leadership, including Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar Mai Nupe Bagadozhi, as well as the people of Doko, Tsuyekpa Gaba and other distinguished members of the community.

Kuchita concluded by appreciating the people for their support, encouragement and goodwill, and pledged his commitment to serving the people if given the opportunity.
